I am researching the STROUD's of Cobb County GA that moved to BLOUNT County AL. The Henry Lewis and his brother I believe are from JACKSON Co AL in 1840. I do not believe this is the right family because Lanna/Lanny/Laura Stroud was born in North Carolina per 1860 and 1870 census. Blount AL. Georgia per 1850. Mark, Have you ever noted any McCormack/McCormicks mixed in with Stroud? I am trying to track down a Stroud McCormack, which I strongly suspect came from a maternal surname. He is on the Buckingham VA 1800 census, and died 1828 in Giles Co. TN. Believe he came from Lincoln Co. GA to TN with wife Tasy Glaze. 11. List Admin- List and Message Board [0.988304]

I recently had the opportunity to "adopt" the message board that goes along with the Stroud mail list. As I now administer both I have requested that the "gateway" between the board and the list be "turned on" or enabled. What this means is that now posts to the message boards will automatically be forwarded to and posted on the list. Please be aware of this. Folks who use the board may or may not be list members. Each message that comes through the board will indicate that it originated on the board.
