I have available the MI'S for Lae War Cemetery in

Dear Jenn,
I found your description of Wickhambrook very interesting. At
first I was puzzled how there could be one and a half pubs, and what
constituted half a pub; but then I read on and found out there there
was a boundary split.
About 20 miles NE of Bury St. Edmunds is a place called Cranmer
Green. Could you please look up in your "Suffolk Village Book" and
see if it is listed? If it is, is it part of a larger village and if
known what would the mailing address or code be. Thank you

Hello everyone,
I found a new surname in my family! SAWYER (Henry & Samuel). Does anybody
have any information on :
Henry Sawyer who married Elizabeth Googe in Bradfield Essex in 1792 (could
be a Suffolk connection?) and
Samuel Sawyer who married Esther Googe in Bradfield Essex in 1800 (could
also be a Suffolk connection?).
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

there is a new site, no more than a month old, probably less, that is a
'net-wide, world-wide query site. it works by surname. go to the surname
list, choose your 1st letter of a surname, wait for the surnames that start
with that letter to come up, alpha browse to where your surname should be,
if you find it, click on it. if you don't find it, go to the bottom of the
page and click on Forum Finder and search for variant spellings. if you
still don't find it, go to New Surname Listing and ask them to add it
Hi. For those who haven't heard yet, the 1851census for the three
indexed counties of Norfolk, Devon and Warwick was just released two
weeks ago by the LDS. Each country can order from its own LDS disribution
center. The price in the U.S.A. is $5.00. I simply called and used my
credit card, and the CD arrived four days later. You need windows 3.1,
windows 95, or windows NT. System requirements are:486DX processor
(486X66 recommended) 4 MB RAM (8 MB recomended), CD-ROM drive (2X drive

Dennington is on the A1120 road, where the B1116 intersects. As it looks
quite small, I doubt you will find it on a "world map". I would say it is
about 15 miles south-south-west of Southwold.
A "Geographia Guide" describes it thus, "the church of St Mary is of
particular interest, for it's 16th century scr
Is anyone researching the SAUNDERS family (1800's) of Brightlingsea &
Bradfield Essex? Descendants will be found in Sevenoaks and Deptford.
Thanks, Betty :-)
A Master Mariner is the title of a Sea Captain. Usually in the Merchant
Marine. If you are interested in how to get information about your man
and his ship, home port, death date etc. Respond to me and I'll tell you
how I got all that lovely information about my grandfather.
Best wishes, Jura.

Liz,
I had occasion to ask at the CRO Ipswich if they had any records of the
Lunatic Asylum at Melton. The answer I'm afraid was negative but this was
at least three years ago. Things could be different now. It would be worth
trying them again, you have nothing to lose.

Hello!
My ancestor John BONNETT was born in Wickhambrook, Bury St. Edmunds,
Suffolk, England. At least that is what his obit said when he died in
1876 in Amhurstburg, Ontario, Canada.
Questions:
Is Wickhambrook a Village?
I thought that Bury St. Edmunds was the town! Is it a county?
And Suffolk a state?
Still looking there in the 1700 and 1800s for the families of"

Thanks all!

Hello: This is part of a newspaper article that I thought some might
find names that were of interest to them. I apologize for not knowing
the year but my Grandmother trimmed the article.
I have the full article containing many more names if anyone would like
to have it. I have only included the list of prize winners.
