8. [SWAN] Melville / Swan [1]
Hi Everyone, I am trying to research the family trees for Alexander Melville born in Dundee Scotland and a Mary Gibson. Mary came to Cambridge, Ontario, Canada in 1930. I show that they lived at 30 Alexander Street, Dundee on January 8, 1916. They had sons Sydney, Alexander, and William. There is no other information on this family and I would love to hear from anyone researching these names. I am also researching Beda Hemmingsson and a Carl Swan. Both came from Sweden in the early 1900's. I beli

13. [SWAN] Burnt Records - from N/A at Kew [1]
My husband Eric and I went to the National Archives a couple of weeks back where I recorded all the James and John SWANS in the burnt records in the hope a couple might be my grandfather's brothers, but no luck. There are gaps here and there where the film's difficult to read, and just a few lines here and there about some soldiers - some even have no numbers. But for anyone interested there is a lot more detail available of most of these. World War 1 Bunt Records, 1914-18 SWAN, James Robert Enlisted 19
