Hi members,
Got a couple things on my mind this evening.... er.. morning...

Just a reminder that there shouldn't be any files attached to messages sent to
the list. If you must send a file electronically, please send it private
email upon request only. This has not been a problem in this list but a
reminder is always helpful.

Hi folks,
* Are you new to email surname lists and don't yet know your way around?
* Are you an old hand at these lists but would like some pointers and reminders?
* Are you so bold that you actually want to start your own list(s)!??!!??!!
If you can answer yes to any of these questions then help is at hand. Dayna
Cohen McMullen has designed a web site especially for you. Point your web
browser to... well, I'll let Dayna tell you all about it....

Hi Cousins,
Recently someone on one of my lists asked what was the maximum message size
that would take into consideration the limitations of Juno users. I was not
sure so I asked in the Listowners' list and here's a summary of my findings:
The maximum size that a Juno user can handle is a 20k message. One way to
determine the size of a message is to save it to disk and then go to file
manager or explorer and it will show you what the size is. Users of Eudora
3.0 have the message size displayed to them
Dear Sylvesters,
My portion of the Sylvester lineage is now on the World Wide Web. As a
first cut, it's an "outline descendant tree" printed using Family Tree
Maker software. I'll add more later after I digitize some photos, develop
the text and confirm the links. But for now it's enough to feed the
Search Engines...
It's located at http://www.netrail.net/~howder/genlines.html

Dear Sylvesters,
While visiting relatives in Texas recently I uncovered more Sylvester data
on some of the more recent generations in my branch. I interviewed my
grandmother (her maiden name is Sylvester), got some photographs from the
late 19th & early 20th centuries, and met my first-cousin-once-removed,
Donna Sylvester Berglund who has also started conducting research down
this line:
(1) Richard Sylvester m. Naomi Torrey, (2) Joseph Sylvester, (3) Amos
Sylvester, (4) William Sylvester, (5) William Syl

RUGGLES, and parents of William BROOKS & Hannah BISBEE. Please see the will
I posted yesterday (11/14 or 11/13/2000) for the general notes about Joanna.
This thought this inventory was very interesting ... what a woman would have
in her home when she was a widow, and dying in Scituate, Plymouth, MA in 1779.
