I really don't mean to fuss - this is just kind of a hint: when you post a query to the list (any list) please consider using proper punctuation. Have you stopped to look at a long message where nothing was capitalized? It is very confusing and hard to read. I know that some folks are not that familiar with keyboards, but it's really simple -just hold down the key marked "SHIFT" while you press the letter key and it makes a capital letter! Judy Lee, have you tried finding your people in the census? 1850 and after the names, ages and birth place were listed. Each time the census was taken, more information was asked. Check to see if there is a published Index prior to ordering the census. Saves a lot of time. Carol
