Kathy,
You probably have dozens of answers by now! But here's another.
I don't know any of William's siblings, but do know his children. Also, he
had at least three wives, possibly four. Francis is the son of William and

Hi,
I'm new to this list and I am looking for Edward TANNER (b. 1720-1730 in
Harrison Co, (W)VA), father of Grace (b c1853) who married Jesse HUGHES and
Rachel (b. c1763)who married James McDADE. They all ended up in the
Jackson/Roane counties area of WV before 1800.
I also need Jean TANNER who married Reuben REYNOLDS in Harrison county in
1805. She was 'upwards of 21' at that time but census records indicate her
birth was about 1790. Supposed to be the daughter of Edward also.
I would surely appreciate

I believe that William is the son of Francis Tanner. The Idea that he may

Cassie,
I do not have any info on Daniel Tanner being the father of Edward Tanner
in Henrico Co., VA. Are you sure about this? Joseph Tanner seems to be
the prominent Tanner early in Henrico Co. history. Edward Tanner was a son
of Joseph Tanner and was mentioned when Joseph's land was divided between
his children in 1673. Let me know where you got your information on
Daniel Tanner.

Hello,
I'm still looking for information on my Thomas TANNER who may have
been the one born in Honiton-on-Otter, Devon, England in 1671 and soon after
moved with his parents, perhaps Thomas TANNER and Prudence unknown, to
Westmoreland Co., VA. Thomas TANNER, Jr married Jane JOHNSTONE. Both of their
daughters married AWBREY men.
Any clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.

Hello all on this list! I have just found it and subscribed.
I am Robert Tanner (b. 1933) and I live in Tasmania. I have recently started researching my family, but haven't got very far yet. My father was John Vincent Tanner (1899-1998) and his father was James Tanner who I believe was born in 1872. I believe this James was born in Stroud and migrated to Tasmania, possibly with his father, John. I believe this John was born about 1832. I didn't know much about him until I went through my father's pa

Thanks to everybody who responded to my Wm. Tanner request. I've now
been told that he may have been kidnapped, or the alternate version is
that he was an attendent to a friend of Roger Williams. If he was in
fact brought to America against his will, I suppose I'll never know what
ship he came on. But, if he was really an attendant of Randall Houlding,
then does anyone know how to find what ship he came on?
It sounds like no one is sure how to find where he came from. I was
hoping there might be some histo
