I'm looking for confirmation and information on Mary "Polly" Tarver of Catahoula Parish, LA marrying William H. Ellis in 1856. I am a great-great-great-grandson of William H. Ellis who resided in Catahoula Parish until near the end of the civil war and went packing with his last wife (Mary Ann Huffman) and newborns to the relative safety of Texas.
William H. Ellis married another women by the name of: Mary A. Huffman on 18 Dec 1863. First born was in Catahoula Parish. His name was: Thomas William Ellis,
