I have no information about this Edward Teal concerning his parents or
siblings. I do have quite a bit of information about his son, also Edward,
and the family from about 1680-82 into the 1800's. Son Edward was born in
Charles County, MD about 1680-1682. His father had come to Maryland
sometime before that. His wife was Sarah Copus. They had come from
England, but Edward could have been of Irish descent. Records indicate
that the elder Edward had died in Baltimore County by 1693. Known
There are a number of variations of spelling in the Teal
surname.......Teal, Teel, Teale, Teele, etc.
Among the very early arrivals was Edward Teal who came to Maryland sometime

Teal, settled in Fairfield County, OH in 1799. At some point in time his
grandson, Perry Teal, changed the spelling of his name to Teele. No one
seems to know why.
In any case, this site should cover all variations of the spelling of the
Teel/Teal surn

Thanks Bud, we have had some contact with some of the descendents of Edward and they don't have a clue who his parents were either. Ever wonder about the people who say they can trace their ancestors back to Biblical Times? lol I definitely do!
