The purchased property from John Tuteswiler (59 acres), part of Thomas Hutchenson's original survey. Where did this family come from? Are they German, English, Irish or Scotish? Marguerite Songy....I know that there are only a few Davis lines that are German Baptist Brethren (many Quaker or Lutheran), but we just came back from the Linville Creek Brethren Cem near Broadway, Rockingham Co VA and we saw DAVIS in there. For some reason I think it was Jonathan. I only remember because I thought of the Davis line originating from Fred Co MD not VA that went to Fred CoVA or Shenandoah Co VA area. If this is yours, have you tried the Fred Co(MD not VA) Genie sites? Some of those Davis lin
7. PRINCE line from White Co., TN>MO/OR-WA+TN>AR>TX...need help... [1]
My gggg/father was Jonathan Erwin Prince, son of same, father is believed to have come from Germany, possibly to the Shenandoah Valley area, family then moved on to White Co., TN ...where he was born c. 1813, TN. Jonathan and his brother Thomas PRINCE were listed as TN road builders in the 1830's, they also had a sister Eleanor. Thomas was married to Rebecca DAVIS, sister of Jonathan DAVIS, who was married to Eleanor PRINCE. Thomas was killed in MO. in the 1840s, trying to catch a wagon train.
