1. RE: [TMG] GenBridge in use by another program [1]
They probably figure not too many people will be switching from TMG, so didn't bother to implement it. Why would you make 2 scans, when it is a simpler matter to resize the 150 ppi scan to 75ppi in software and much quicker than making 2 scans? 4. RE: [TMG] Report - Journal, Narrative, Detail - [0.969707]
Terry, I am unsure how to implement your suggestion. Where do I find the "No children"/"No known children" option? That sounds like a perfect solution if TMG treats this (is it a tag?) as "having children" in reports and places the person in the "correct" generation. The "placeholder" solution creates too many problems, for instance, an additional phantom person in box charts -- that "Unknown Person" that pops up between the individual and the "placeholder" child. 7. [TMG] Project vs dataset [0.969707]
Thank you, Terry, for the excellent articles on datasets and projects. I am wondering what users would think is the better setup in my situation. My main database in about 2500 people, mostly ancestors and siblings with a few collateral lines continued for a few generations. I also have three other databases, about the same size, each of which is primarily the descendants of one person. My primary interest is ancestors and when I print that database I don't want all the descendants of the individual

9. Re: [TMG] TMG Filing System [0.969707]
I use a system of surname ring binders, divided into three sections. At the front of the binder are charts, family group sheets etc for that family line. Next come all the "evidence" documents produced by my research, filed in chronologicalorder. These could be BMD certificates, photocopies of census entries, transcripts I have made from parish registers etc. The final section is devoted to correspondence with other researchers, repositories etc and is also filed in date order. 16. Re: [TMG] Person with NO information [0.969707]
If it is appropriate, I enter unknown folks with a name Unknown Unknown. At least when I see this in a report it tells me that there was such a person, but that his or her's name is unknown to me. If I know nothing about any relationship and know only that a child was born I might simply not mention any partner. The child simply shows up as the son of the person. However, I usually do add the Unknown person to let me and any readers know the extent of my information.-Dale

Looking at two current references... Henry Hoff's Genealogical Writing in the 21st Century (the style manual for the NEHGS Register) and The BCG Genealogical Standards Manual... in essence, the topic of image style and placement does not appear to be treated at all. I suspect that such decisions are addressed between authors and editors

Still a problem, and I cannot find a resolution.
