2. Re: [TMG] 6.02 Tag Entry screen won't close [1]
I suspect that Wholly Genes are working on it! I took another route out from it. I used instructions supplied by Barbara from the Wholly Genes Support team and totally uninstalled and reinstalled my programme. It cleared the tag entry problem. Judith Upton Portishead, Bristol

4. RE: [TMG] ? for dates [1]
I have several people that I know are deceased, and where they died......but I don't know exactly when they died. The tombstone only has their name on it and this time period is BEFORE records were kept. So I used the death tag, left the date blank (used a sort date if I needed to in order to get the events sorted in proper order) and entered the place they died. Did the same thing with the burial tag. Seems to work for me, even with several various reports. Linda (in Arizona) > -----Original Message-

8. Re: [TMG] filter and [1]
I don't see a reply to your questions so I'll give it a try. The first one is easy. Right click anywhere in the person view for a menu. There will be a check mark in front of one of the filter options on the menu. Click on the check mark to uncheck it, and the filter will be gone. I don't quite understand your second question. If you are asking how to view a sentence as it will appear in a report, then the usual way is to run an Individual Narrative preview to screen. If you are asking how to see what the

OH-OH -- this can't be good! Followed Lee's advice, got a very fast error message, almost immediately upon choosing "Yes" to running VFI: The error message says "Variable GCOPENPJCLOG is not found. 7471 FIXORIGTYPE2" Abort, Retry, Ignore? Virginia and Jim, and all Just for the records - yesterday was the first chance I have had in a while to have a long day working on TMG 6.02. UK. No abrupt exits. I had any number of programmes open at one time, with heaven knows how many web pages open. I haven't updated my Nvidia driver (I found a website discussing updating the drivers and the updates were best installed clean so I left it for the moment). In the world of photography, digital photography that is, metadata is the information in the file that describes or imparts additional information about the file's [main] data -- namely about the picture. Some of the metadata is written by the camera when it creates the file, and some is written by the person who further manipulates the picture data on the computer. Some examples of metadata from the camera: date and time, exposure speed, ISO, f-stop etc. Some examples of metadata written via comput

I have purchased a laptop specifically for genealogy and had not planned to be online as my desktop is online at home. I have loaded TMG 6.01 onto the laptop but can't seem to get the program "unlocked". I have entered the same serial number as I did on my desktop with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion?? Do I have to get online to unlock it?? Thanks, kathy sims (a TMG NOVICE!!)
24. Re: [TMG] PE glitches [1]
I know some are getting tired of hearing about the problems, and agree that some are small annoyances, but not reporting them does not offer any hope of improvement. My filtered PE shows the same individual in two places. Selecting one opens the required Person Detail. Selecting the second instance of the name (sandwiched non-alphabetically between some persons about 20 places away) opens a Person Detail for one not even in the filtered list, and of a different sex, and in a different line. Huh??? Very

Jude, Welcome. I am going to let someone who knows more about how to make the source changes answer you here. I believe you need to change to CUSTOM, but I am not sure how, or how it will effect what you have done so far. I am sure that Lee, or Terry or someone else who is familiar with the process will jump in soon and tell you how. Just wanted to say welcome to TMG-L.
