1. Examples of filter conditions requested [1]
Is there anywhere I can get a list of plenty of examples of filter settings for a wide range of filters? - Lloyd
2. Relationship Definitions [1]
Seem to recall reading or hearing somewhere that when a couple marry and he already has children from another marriage that the new bride becomes the stepmother only if their biological mother is no longer living and that if she then adopts the children the title of stepmother is no longer used. Could someone give me some clarity on this ? Since I don't remember my source, I'm not certain of the reliability of these definitions. I want to make sure I record such individuals appropriately in TMG. Thanks R
3. Ibid and CD and the new CM [1]
Jim Byram has an excellent description and examples concerning the functioning of "Ibid" in Chapter 7 page 101 of GTMOOTMG. However, the new feature of the Citation Memo [CM] did not exist when that was printed and CM does affect the behavior of Ibid. Since I now use the CM quite a bit and had to experiment how it affects Ibid, I thought I would share my observations. The functioning of "Ibid" is controlled in two different locations: the source options in the Report Definition, and the three choic

Jeff, Thanks, I did a conversion on a dataset Robin had put on the forum and now mine is working. Weird. I had tried everything. I will let Doug know that worked. 12. Sentence structure [1]

13. RE: [TMG] Publication and Privacy [1]
In the US, government records like census are sealed for 72 years to protect privacy, so that's the criteria I use for my website. It's easier for me to just put online that information for which there will be no discord. I personally wouldn't want my children's information to be on someone's website either. Once the 72 years is up, I will probably be dead and it probably won't matter all that much, but I will not have spent a goodly part of my genealogy time arguing with people about what to put online
14. UK Civil partnerships [1]
Now that the UK law has changed to allow civil partnerships (I won't call them marriages) between gay couples I was wondering if TMG can cope with this by varying the marriage tag. How do I do it ? In fact the couple could be gay or non-gay because one of the greatest advantages, apart from committing to the partner, is the tax advantages in the UK. Clinton cold Birmingham, U. K.

21. Re: [TMG] Reports problem 6.03 [1]
Virginia, The problem is that I am getting *no* report definition screen for any of the reports. So where else could I check the printer assignment? And I don't understand where I am to delete the report to restore the default. This was fine when I last worked on it... about 4 weeks ago. Been laid up with an arm in a cast and decided to see if I could at least get a little bit of work done today with my one available hand. So I can't say I am feeling my most patient.. ha ha. 24. RE: [TMG] Re: Publication and Privacy [1]
I have to agree here...I worked in the financial industry for 20 years and with the exception of being robbed, 99% of identity theft was committed by a family member who already had access to the information. Most of the time, sadly, it was the children. The information needed to profit from identify theft is too readily available elsewhere (dumpsters mostly!) and for the most part, the people who perpetrate this kind of crime are probably not familiar enough with genealogy to know that it could even poss
