12. TMG 5.14 Source for Source [1]
In the Source Definition screen when you enter a repository there is the option of entering a source for the source. That is good information and I want to use it. However, as I see it, creating a source for the source is just the same as creating any other source when you must have or create a sentence for the footnote, etc. Since the source for the source will never print, and is for reference only, is there not a way to avoid composing the sentences required for a regular source? I would just like to say
13. Re: [TMG] TMG 5.15 Witness Sentences [1]
Ken When you import a project from UFT the sentences in TMG are a reflection of what they were in UFT for the roles that appeared in UFT. 15. RE: [TMG] Is this worth doing? [1]
Carol, Okay you have given me something to think about. I like the idea that I can accent my census tags by doing it your way. I am thinking that just adding a role to my current tags, and then adding the dummy person would work, with no extra added tags. The only problem is TMG runs very slow for me when I have accents on. I will have to think this through some more. Thanks for the ideas. Teresa Ghee Elliott Any information I give that you can't find in your version of TMG 5.14 is probably due to c

Astrid I had the same problem with Outlook and it turned out to be the authentication for my ISP. Without that set correctly, the messages got flagged as SPAM and rootsweb rejected them. Verify that ALL the parameters required by your ISP are set correctly. If that doesn't solve the problem, perhaps one of the gurus can help by checking the headers for you. 20. Re: [TMG] Questions Printing Trees [1]
Jean, I don't know where you found these limits - but they only apply to some applications (like PDF writers, Photoshop, etc) but not VCF. They are not inherent to to the OS. I can create and print valid VCF charts out to 334 inches on a Windows 98 machine and (if I wanted to) virtually infinite length (about 6000Km) on a Windows 2000 / XP machine. Your limits may apply to image files but not to vector-based graphics. Windows 2000 has a limit at 4 billion pixels which has been removed by a recent Se
21. Navigation Problems & Speed [1]
I just updated my TMG to V5.15, hoping to cure some of the minor problems with V5.14. Unfortunately, it appears that things got WORSE. The first thing I noticed is that the "poke to poke" response time has degraded noticeably. Secondly the navigation bug in 5.14 has gotten more prevalent, not less. Has anyone else experienced these problems? I am fairly certain this is not hardware related, but I have not tried to reproduce it on another machine. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Dave Oliver

24. v5.14.005 - Malfunctioning Exclusion Marker for Names [1]
This issue was discussed here a while back, but seems to not yet be resolved. Using the standard name styles, if you use a double exclusion marker in either the given name or surname fields, in an IN report that name is represented by the empty name text, rather than being ignored as it was in TMG4. But if you use a single exclusion marker, the name element is ignored in the IN, just as in TMG4. So the issues: 1. I don't see why are single and double exclusion markers treated differently in TMG5.
