2. RE: [TMG] Burial Expenses [1]
The main reason to put it in is just because it's interesting. A shirt for $2.00. Or that he built his own casket. Or that he had a horse drawn carriage instead of a hearse. In most cases, it gets listed in probate because it is one of the bills that has to be paid out of the estate. It can tell you either A) how wealthy your ancestor was, or B) how gullible his widow was. ;) Teresa Ghee Elliott Any information I give that you can't find in your version of TMG 5.1 is probably due to customizatio

4. Re: [TMG] TMG5.14 Master Place List Display Problem [1]
OK, Thanks folks.... I obviously have a local display problem. I have tried to separate the vertical divisor bars but find that when the screen first displays all the headers show correctly but they quickly disappear on my screen never to be seen again. I will play around with the dividers to see if I can get them back again. 5. .FLP vs .FLC [1]
Hi List and especially those who know this program inside and out : What's the difference between a .flp file and a .flc file? They both seem to be saved filters. At first I thought that a .flp filter was saved from the Project Explorer (PE) and a .flc file saved from a report? But that hypothesis didn't hold up. Then I thought perhaps it was because I have a variable in my filter definition, but I have two .flc filters; one with the variable, one without. So I'm back to my original question. It s

Hi list, First, I would like to express my gratitude to Wholly Genes Staff for doing a great job on TMG v5.14! Thank you Bob Velke. I was away from my office doing a lot of field work for the last three months. As I recall TMG v5.11 was the hot topic, now we are on TMG v5.14! Gilbert, Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada

I see something similar on my MTL e.g.: Baptism past tense bap. Burial b. Death d. Married married I can only assume they got modified during my original import from UFT. They haven't caused me any problems but I will edit them to the TMG standard past tenses. 12. Death Sentence + Memo TMG 5.13 [1]
I want to see, when I print an Individual Narrative Report, the standard death sentence followed by additional words entered in the Memo field of the Tag Entry screen. I am getting all the words, but I get a ";" following the standard sentence, e.g. X died August 20, 1904; while being transported on the train to Montreal... I have tried playing with spaces in different parts of the sentence structure, but nothing I have tried will get rid of the ";". Can someone help, please? Ken Healy

14. RE: [TMG] Reports print "is still living" if Living Flag is ? [1]
A recent version of John's Utility for Version 5 now has the ability to set Living to N based on dates in the Parents. The other alternative is to use a list of people report to turn all the ?'s into N, but I would be real careful about this to make sure you don't change the flag in people you don't want to do it for. 18. RE: [TMG] Broken Link [1]
Good points. I just had a relative take my VERY qualified data and put my conclusion in as "gospel". It seemed a little premature to me. The flag route is interesting as it could denote the whole questionable familial line. I like the idea of "website notes". As you know I have gone for the simplistic approach to a web site. This may be a way to have a tag that is ONLY for my web site. A bit repetitive but allows the control of the site. Thanks, Terry. Jill -----Original Message----- From: Terry
