3. RE: [TMG] Ancestor Box Chart does not create copy in VCF [1]
Jill, I have just tried this operation out using the US Sample project, with output to file of type VC2. So I question what you are doing. The blank VCF screen flashes up while the chart file is being created and on completion the VCF screen and taskbar entry disappear. So it come to the question - How are you trying view the chart which has been formed? If you use Windows Explorer to locate the file (which should exist and have a non-zero size) and then double-click that entry or "open with" wha
4. RE: [2NDST] [TMG] UPGRADE: TMG Utility Version 6.1 STYLES [1]
John I am very interested in the "Optimize Styles" section of your upgrade to TMG Utility Version 6.1 as I knew my Styles section was in a mess but I was not certain how to fix it without losing anything. I have run through "Optimize Styles" but with "Log only" ticked and got the following result TMG Utility v6.1.0 Copyright (C) 1999-2006 by John Cardinal. All Rights Reserved. Do not redistribute. On a birth tag, I have entered the date as "02 Jun 1817-30 Oct 1818". On the event list of the person view, the date appear as "bt 1817-1818". Is there a way to display the full date ("02 Jun 1817-30 Oct 1818") on the event list? Thanks, Regina

9. RE: [TMG] Question about displaying Presurnames [1]
Bob, No, I cannot fix the problem, I just confirmed that I, too, get the same result if I try to use my custom Name Style in a chart: Presurname prints instead of the data included in the Presurname field on the Name Variation tag. It does appear to be a bug! Sharon, Also on the PV, it used the first three letters of JONES when I used it to swap for APR in the Language file too. So some reports may be hard coded to only use the first three letters of the month no matter what you change it to. I would say the FGS, and charts would be like that, but I haven't tested it. John Thanks for your reply I have only two data sets in this project MainOne and Whorthese, a small one where I keep people who I think may be family but I can't prove it at the moment and so I don't want to put them in my MainOne I had also run your TMG Utility without the tick in the Log only for the Whorthese data set but I have just run it again with the following result TMG Utility v6.1.0 Copyright (C) 1999-2006 by John Cardinal. 19. UFT PROJECT HELP [1]
Okay, I tried Phil at WG. He tried to open my sqz file and pro file off my cd I e mailed him. Phil's sqz file said " 'Can't find Event Library' notice and the import aborts. Phil's attempt for my pro copy said "I can't get this one to work either". I just have a question. WHY in UFT all sources/citations are attached, and print out and everything runs fine, but it won't go into TMG attached? I just don't understand. If you see it in UFT and it is working in UFT, why doesn't it import to TMG?
