It's a horizontal line, looks like a split horizontal line on the keyboard and is the upper case of the back slash key. On my keyboard it's right above the Enter Key. 6. [TMG] Is this me or a bug? [1]
I am accenting people who meet the following criteria. 1: Have a name tag with the suffix age AND a name tag with sort date 1870 2: Birth* tag Year > 1871 3: Death* tag Year< 1869 The point is to highlight individuals who either were born after the 1870 census, died before, or whom I have already made an 1870 CEN name tag for. The problem: If I have a date, then it accents correctly. But if I have a sort date, it also accents people, which means that some people may be accented because the sort
7. Re: [TMG] Immigration Tag -- FINAL PRODUCT -- Thanks everyone!! [1]
Hello Gilbert, Not actually a typo, but I was testing the tag all over my dataset to make sure it was working, and the 1630 date was a test date I had switched about to test something or other. Very observant of you! Thanks, James ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gilbert Neil Capot-Blanc" > Was there a type-o on your 1 Jun 1630 entry date? > > ----- Original Message ----- > James P. 8. [TMG] Generations and cousins [1]
I think I'm having a problem in my descendancy narrative. It goes like this: Tom Vale married a Shirley Cole [these are made up names] and they had 12 kids. Lets make that generation 20. A brother of Shirley [my dad] married three times, the second one was my mother. So, I'm a son in generation 20. In generation 21, two of my mother's sisters, my aunts, married two of the Vale boys and they had children. But also in generation 21 is my wife, my kids and I. So, in generation 21, I'm a husband and f

10. RE: [TMG] setting one of many exhibits to primary [1]
Richard (and Lee). Here's an example of what I'm seeing in my own project. The Focus is "A Person"; Type is "All Types"; I have only one photo attached and it's not marked as Primary (no asterisk). If I right click on the photo and select Properties, there is no "Primary" check box. If I delete the photo and reattach it, it defaults to Primary and the Primary check box magically appears on the Properties screen. Now, these are all Internal images so I don't know if that makes any difference. Linda --
11. Re: [TMG] What happened to Descendancy Narrative? [1]
I think what he's referring to are the Descendant Journal and Ancestral Journal Narratives. The Descendant Journal is not the same as the Descendancy Indented Narrative. The Descendancy Indented Narrative is limited to 15 generations whereas the Descendant Journal Narrative is not.... They're beautiful. But remember that they will look only as great as YOU make them - the data is copied from your own data that you submit. I had ChartForm Delivery make many charts for a big reunion, and learned that I could have made them even better had I known all the wonderful features in VCF (Visual ChartForm) such as making fatter lines between boxes, etc. -- Sandy Clunies -----Original Message----- From: Kara Noble [mailto:kara_noble@msn.com] Sent: Friday, November 08, 2002 1:10 PM To: TMG-L@roo

16. [TMG] 5.04 Unique endnotes and multiple CD fields not compatible [1]
I am hoping that I have jumped the gun and that this problem is still "on the table" but since it hasn't been resolved in 5.04 I would like to bring it up again: This problem has been discussed on and off for several years, but to summarize for any new list members: - if you select the "unique" endnotes option for your sources in the report options screen, TMG will assign a number to a particular citation the first time it is used in a report and then continue to assign that same number to each subsequent

You aren't wrong, but since TMG5 does not care about case, it should not be modifying the filename - I don't actually care what case is used to *display* the filename inside the application, I just don't want it to mess with the file itself. beth > -----Original Message----- > From: GenerationGoneBy@cs.com [mailto:GenerationGoneBy@cs.com] > Sent: Thursday, November 14, 2002 03:21 PM > To: TMG-L@rootsweb.com >

20. RE: [TMG] Font in Preview [1]
Terry - So what you are saying is that for the Preview to reflect my preferences I end up losing the default IN because I have to modify it. In 4.0d I copied the IN, modified as I wanted it, and created my own toolbar button to take me directly to that configuration. I really hate to start futzing and losing all of the default reports. I've seen all the messages (very informative!) going by about sentence structure for the residence problem, but I must be missing something.
