11. Re: [TMG] Text spacing, sources and data [0.970505]
John - If I read your question correctly, you want to put explanatory material in footnotes and not just source material BUT that your explanatory material actually refers to a source that you also want to include? They way I would accomplish this (and there may be a better way to do it) is to create a source called "footnote" or "comment" (personally I use comment). There would be essentially no information on the citation entry screen other than a short name. I would then modify the footnote to contain

14. [TMG] Source errors [0.970505]
Hello from another Newbie-I entered a CD on two death records. When I saw how the endnotes would print I deleted both CD notations but they still appeared in the endnotes report. The "hereinafter.....short title" didn't ever appear. Somehow, someway I got one of the footnotes to print correctly; but not the other one. Any suggestion? (Also ran the maintenance repair) I consider myself adequately savvy on the computer; but I have had one H of a time just figuring out how the TMG program basics work. I w

Nancy, I haven't seen any replies on the mail list, but I share your desire. It sounds like a modified hourglass. I recall being told that TMG does not have an hourglass report. Your reasons for migrating to TMG are much like mine and many of us. There are limitations though. The postponed release of TMG Ver. 5.0 is anxiously anticipated. Perhaps there will be such a report feature in the new version. Roy Sprunger Anetsprungen 11405 Guy Road Nashville, MI 49073 616-763-0076 http://www.familytre

Hi, all: Boy, I sure wouldn't actually delete anybody from my database just because one set of family links turned out to be bad. I presume that at least *some* work went into finding information on the people who turn out not to be ancestors. Why not keep it? The way TMG works, once you have deleted the incorrect parent links, the connections between you and all those previously presumed ancestors are wiped clean (no good genealogy program these days "slots" people as grandparents, great-grandparent
