Hi, Gloria - I am new to the Cades Cove list, and wondered if you could help
me with my research. My great-great-grandfather was Cornelius Carver, who
lived in Blount County near the end of his life. I was told he was burried
in Cades Cove, but have never found confirmation of this. His son, Campbell
Cornelius Carver, is buried in the cemetery at Hennegar's Chapel, in Bradley
Co. My grandfather, Andrew Carver, is buried in South Liberty Cemetery at
or near Riceville. My parents are buried at Wesleyanna
If you go to the CCPA site they might still have some left.

The Carvers
For more than two decades, pre 1830 to post 1850, the Carver surname was prominent in Cades Cove where family property was tilled from the "upper end" to the "lower end" and at points in between. The Carvers arrived with other Cove pioneers but left for "greener pastures" as the population density peaked aroun

Gloria - Is there any way I can get a copy of the 2003 CCPA calendar? And -
could you send me the name of the person who compiled the info on the
Carvers? I thought perhaps that person could help us with our research.
I'm so glad I ran across the data on Cades Cove. It was great to get the
information that had been printed on the calender, concerning the Carvers.
Thanks, Bernice Carver Thompson
