Just to add more confussion. John Rogers married Anna Brown ( Brown is my line) in Caldwell Co KY in the early 1800's. I believe that this line of Roger's along with the Brown's were in the Pitt/ Edgecombe county area of NC in the late 1700's. Anna Brown Roger's father ( Arthur Brown) moved from Caldwell Co KY to Carroll Co TN in about 1823. He had enlisted in the Rev War in Pitt Co in 1781. I have a question about an 1820 land entry. It says that by virtue of a certificate warrant, the individual makes entry for 504 acres in a certain district. A margin note made in 1821 says "381--made void by ___." Can someone tell me what this means? Also, how can I find or get a copy of the certificate warrant?
