Anybody got an Abijah RICE (possibly William Abijah RICE), b. @ 1794 in what is now Cocke County, TN? He served in the War of 1812, enlisting in the state of KY in 1813. He was in MO before 1830. My neighbors Marie Ora maiden name JETT her mothers name was MARY LILLIAN BRANNON born to a JOHN BRANNON. Hi. I am looking for information on Dan Lillard. I do not have dates yet, so here is what I know about him. Dan lived in the Middle Creek section of Cocke County, TN. He married Jane Dennis (daughter of John and Mary Large Dennis). Dan and Jane had a daughter named Harriet Lillard. Harriet married William Delanor Shults. Hi, I am starting research on my great-grandfather's side of the family. I found a reference to him on the Cocke Co Genweb site: "In 1885 a Baptist Seminary was opened under the care of N.E.W. Stokely." Does anyone have any information or can point me to a source that might have details on this Seminary? Or N.E.W. Stokely.
