Greetings List, I am looking for information about the Mulbery Methodist Church. According to one of my sources, my great grandfather Epps L. Jones was a local deacon there sometime in the mid to late 1800's. It is said that he performed marriages and that there are records of the marriages somewhere. Is there someone who has the history of the church and may know if his name is there? Thanks for your help. Macon Jones

Hi all, Thanks so much for the info that has been sent my way! I so much appreciate it. I was sent records showing that James McGehee (my great great great grandfather) lived in that county and worked on a road there, or was an overseer of a

Billie, I had not seen you post that you have the Dickey connection also. My gg-grandfather Bradford married Laura Elizabeth Ann Dickey, youngest child of Ephriam Dickey. Then my grandfather comes up with "Hurley" as a middle name. Must be a connection here somewhere as they were all in Lincoln County. Haven't added the Dickey to my list as I've found a lot of info on them in a book in the Lincoln County Library (I live about 30 miles south in Huntsville, AL). There is a book in the genealogy section of

21. [LCT] Peggy Stuart, 1830 census Lincoln Co. [1]
Dear List, Those of you who are trying to separate out the various 1830 era and earlier times for STEWARTS, STUARTS of Lincoln Co. should keep in mind Peggy Stuart, listed in the 1830 census for Lincoln Co. She was a widow with up to 10 children. It is very likely that she and her husband, (whose name I don't know) tried to settle in Mississippi, prior to 1823. Anyway some time after 1825, he died, I don't know where, and by 1830 Peggy moved (to) or (back to) Lincoln Co. Peggy and her
