Karen and All,
Is there a way to copy and paste a Family Tree Maker group sheet into a
text file or e-mail? I can "copy" the group sheet but it won't let me
"paste" it anywhere. Sure would be a lot easier than recopying the info.
Thanks.

Karen,
I suspect it has to do with the FTM group sheet being a graphics file and
not a text file. I'll print one out and type the info from it to an e-mail.
Thanks anyway!

I am not sure about major battles in Belfast, but just to the south in and around Petersburg there was constant skirmishes. If someome can track him down, "Turk" Warren has a lot of the actual history of this. "Turk" ran a store in Petersburg for many years and was mail carrier also. Will try to see him soon.

Karen,
The Weakley County, Tenn. webpage has a system which works really well.
Please check it out. You only list the names of your ancestors who actually
lived in the County at one time or another. Even though many of us can trace
one line or more back to the 1600's, it is much better to list just the ones
in Marshall County. You list the name, years of birth and death, and
relationship. You list only maiden names of female ancestors, so you don't
get confused with middle, married, and maiden
Sometime in the fall of 1925 a young girl was molested in Lincoln County, TN. I think the actual trial was held in Lewisburg/Marshall County. Does anyone have any information on the trial? What was the outcome? Who was the Judge?
Thanks

Sounds good to me!! If we don't wait toooo long, I'm not getting any
younger. We have researched my husband's 3ggrandfather, Dr. Micheal C.
JOSE for several years and have never found his wifes's name. History
says he was the first mayor of Farmington in Bedford Co.and left for
Texas about 1850, however a old letter from his granddaugther, Victoria

in TN a few weeks ago and walked the cementery and could not find the
grave. However i

Karen, Is my face ever red! After inquiring about the family group sheets,
I went to the site and found mine already there!! Not sorry, tho, since
seems to have stirred up some more of us to submit some!
Thanks for your fine work. Dorothy Wakefield Chance
BTW, I spent many happy hours in Lewisburg and Cornersville as a child and
would love hearing from anyone who was around during the '40's and '50's!
Ann Linton and Jane Turner were special friends. And Scrapper and Lucille

Hi All,
I am forwarding this message, with permission, from another list. It is
another great source for info!

To All: It sounds like to me we need to have a big Tennessee Cousins /
Tennessee Roots reunion in the year 2000 in the month of Sept. after the
weather cools and after the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration. Everyone
bring their material and we all could share information. The areas that we
could focus on, but not limited to, could be Marshall, Bedford, Lincoln,
Moore Counties. Could we pull this off?
Bobby---enjoyed your post about Belfast. My father had family in both
Belfast and Belbuckle and I always enjoyed his stories. I have one question
I would like you to ask your father. I have a picture of Wood School taken
Sept. 4, 1902 with all the children and teachers in the picture. Some of
the names are Woodward, Anderson, Harrison, Gambill, Adams, and Pickle.
Would your father happen to know where the Wood School was in Bedford or
Marshall Co? Thanks, Julia (A different one from the Julia w
I am interested in what was said about the Civil War. My g-grandfather
and g-grandmother were married there (she born there). My g-grandfather
was from Ga and served with the 10th Ga. He either met my g-grandmother
during or right after the war (they married in 1867). He stated in his
pension papers that he was very loyal to the Confederate cause.
I wonder if you know of any speific battles in and around there? I am
trying to track his jouney during that time. Were there many Irish

I am currently working on the Prosser Family genealogy. I am focusing on
the Southern Middle Tennessee Prossers. If anyone has any info on the
Prosser family that they can share with me I would appreciate it. I know
where James and Frances (Richardson) Prosser are buried in Moore Co.. This
cemetery has been destroyed, it is in Bartlett Hollow about 2 to 3 miles
north of US 231. My linage to James Prosser runs thru his son Jonathan
Prosser.
