My ggg grandfather Marion Hopwood Hackney was born about 1831 in Tennessee. I have tried unsuccessfully to find out who his parents and siblings were but feel he could have come from the Hopwoods and Hackneys which are more numerous in the Marshall/Maury area of Tennessee than any other area.
