I've just finished typing and uploading inscriptions from the Rafter
Cemetery near Tellico in Monroe CO, TN. These mountains border Cherokee
CO, NC. Some of the Roberts families from Cherokee CO settled there and
are buried in this cemetery. Inscriptions were copied, and the cemetery
was surveyed by Lester Hamilton, who sent me the data for uploading on
"Valley River Relatives." Also, I've typed and uploaded a new family group
on the Israel and Jane Roberts family. In addition, I've typed a new photo

Joy, I have just found a name of Atlas Davis that lived in Monroe County

I've finally finished revamping my websites called "Valley River Relatives"

broken links are now reparied. Thanks for your help in letting me know

will remain at Compuserve's homepages.
Also, Rootsweb Freepages, the server, has been off line while making some
revisions themselves. So, my w

I am been seeking information of Rebecca M. DAVIS b. abt. 1823 in Monroe
County. She is believed to be the sister of Dr. Granville Davis,
1817-1912,who practiced medicine in Graham and surrounding counties. Dr.
DAVIS married Barbara THOMAS. The Parham Papers of Blount County suggest
that Phillip DAVIS b. abt 1800 who married Martha Jane MCCLANAHAN, was their
father. Rebecca married William FARR and they lived in Cheoah, Cherokee Co NC
in 1860 and Tuckalechee, Blount County in 1870.

Let me add my thanks to Sandra's and say that of the many pages I peruse, this is my favorite -- and that is due to Joy's oversight.
I agree with Sandra's point about the subject heads. If a person is allowed to come up with her own "title" for the message, she sometimes has a better shot at catching the attention of a reader than she would with a mere surname. Sometimes the unfamiliarity of a surname discourages a would-be reader, but an interesting question implied by a subject heading is sometimes ef

Thanks, Joy, for all the work you do in keeping the queries updated and the
surnames as well. I like the way Monroe CO and McMinn CO, TN queries are
still listed as they were earlier. I'm not especially fond of the new way
that some of the counties are listing them more concisely with just a
surname and the inquirer's name. Sorry to say, I very seldom click on
those links to read their questions. However, if the text is right in
front of me as I scroll down the page, I'm much more apt to read and
