The links to the maps don't all work yet, but if you are looking for a
listing of available cemeteries in the Southwestern part of Rutherford
county, I have finished a nice index. I have been busy moving each
of the three sections to their own pages, and I think the links back and
forth now work. If you find any that don't email me at
generationgoneby@bellsouth.net, and let me know. I still have some

Here's another Joyce heard from:
Years ago, I contacted some cousins I hadn't seen in 20 years or more who
lived far from me. I had hoped they might have data to share, on our mutual
Smith grandfather. I had worked very hard researching/documenting him, but
needed to take it back beyond him, and had only oral data to go on which I
couldn't document. My hope was that they had more than I did. Especially

Hi Wanda,
I was aware of the WALLER Funeral Home in Nolensville only because I'd
read an article on it in some dark library. Do appreciate the tip, next
time I get to Nashville (maybe this summer) I'll see if I can find Ms.
Mary Parrish.
Thanks again,

Hi Paul,
There is a John Hall who married Mary Jane Shelton Hall. They are not
buried there (just mentioned in the book) but several
grandchildren/greatgrand children are. Here is what it says:
The Hall Family
William A. Hall was born in Rutherford County, Tennessee. He was the
grandson of John and Mary Jane Shelton Hall, both of Rutherford county.
He married Rilla Fields. Their son, Henry W. Hall, married
Margaret Thompson, a native of Montgomery County, Tennessee. She moved

I had sent a message earlier about Mary Francis Parrish, owner of Waller
Chapel in Nolensville. I am sorry to say I just received word that she has
been moved from her home this weekend due to the fact that she was unable to
take care of herself. I am not sure how much she remembers about her
ancestors at this point.

Hi Vernon
There are several Barnes listed there including James W. Barnes and
Margaret Guy Barnes. There is also a write-up or interview with James
William Barnes.
If you will send me your mailing address I will copy the information and
mail it to you. Too much for e-mail

I'm not sure what year you're looking for but you could either write a
letter directly to the Rutherford County clerks office requesting a copy or
order it through the Tennessee State Library and Archives.

Beginning in 1920 census, the census takers went into the military facilities
in the U. S. and a few overseas. I personally have used these. To find
someone in military inside the U. S. in 1920, just use the state soundex

The cemeteries website is under construction right now, so some links
may not work. I am trying to move each volume to its own page, so that
you don't have to scan through the whole listing to find the cemetery
you need. Jeff and I are planning on taking cemetery pictures in a few
weeks, so I want the page set up so when I get home, I can upload as
many as I can. If you click on a link that doesn't work right, just
email me and have patience. I am working on it to better serve you the
users. In the mea
We got several cemeteries photographed today and had several we could
not find. We also were asked by the lady that owned the land for the
#153 Steagall Cemetery to not photograph or publish any photos from her
cemetery. So we will not be posting any information on that one.
I hope to get a few more online tonight and update the index for the
ones that will be coming and the ones we could not find. It's been a
beautiful day and we had a good day, but now we are very tired. Didn't

I have added to the Southwest index page a COMING SOON button to all the
cemeteries we have gotten taken and that I hope to get up in the next
few days. If you are curious to see if I got to any of your family
cemeteries today.
