Wednesday, October 13 at her home. She was a longtime member of Cedar Hill
Baptist Church. Effie loved gardening, taking care of her flowers and spending

Do you know if William was with Mary Ann Burchfield until his death in 1933? I am trying to connect a William Lawson to a marriage to Luanner Standley in Nov. 13 1885 in Scott Co. TN.

several family historys which list Mary Ann Burchfield as the wife of C. C.
Adkins. I am pretty sure they are all mistaken and I think they have been
thrown off the track by the use of the initials in Henry Lemuel, or whatever
his name is, in the marriage and divorce records.
Lemuel was divorced from Mary Ann Birchfield (or Burchfield) on Nov. 26,
1875. She charged him with ill treatment and adultery. She was given custody

Hopefully you saw the response from Theresa McCoy. She was one of the
people I was going to put you in contact with to try and get a copy of
the issue since I don't live in Scott Co. The other thing you can try
is to get your local library system to borrow the film from the TSLA
through what is called an "inter-library loan".

(Blakley) Marksberry? She grew up in Scott Co., married and moved to
Whittier, CA where she raised her children. I heard she was visiting her
sister in Lenoir City, TN this year and passed away there while visiting.

Eurel Leonard Grizzle, 67, of Oliver Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004,
at the Mabry Health Care Center of Gainsboro. Born Nov. 27, 1936, in Woodbury,
