Thanks, Rod, for posting the interesting account of the Todd wagon train
migration from Arkansas to Oregon.
I know absolutely nothing about my TODD line except that my
great-grandmother's mother was Caroline TODD. Caroline is enumerated in 1850
Weakley County, Tennessee mortality schedule. She died when daughter Lydia
Ann Belle McWHERTER was a few months old.
Therefore I'm seeking names
Bert,
IGI is the International Genealogy Index maintained by the Church of the
Latter Day Saints (LDS) which answers two of your questions.

Bert,
Probably a lot of folks have already replied. LDS is Latter Day
Saints or Mormons, who are very interested in genealogy for
religious reasons, so have Family History Libraries all over.
IGI is one of their sources. It means the International
Genealogical Index. Many entries are from records that have been
read in churches and courthouses, etc. all over the world, but you
can't be sure of this source, because other people may make entries
which are not correct.
That's all I know, I guess.
Betty
Do you know of any other children of Captain Todd? I'm looking for a Joshua
Todd born in Maryland (don't know where yet) in 1809. He moved to MO about
1837 with his wife Margaret. (also born in Maryland) I've come to a dead end
& would appriciate any help. Maureen
