Hi Janis, Thanks so much for the information on James Turner. I am even more intrigued to find that the wife of Admire was named Sally. I realize this is grasping at the slightest clue, but right now that is all I have. (Millie Miranda and Claiborn (William's son)named 1st daug, Sally Frances. Jennifer, Copies of "A History of the Turner Family" are in the Local History & Genealogy collection of the Library of Congress and at the DAR library in Washington, DC. You will have to go to one of those libraries to look at it. LoC and DAR do no do interlibrary loans on books on genealogy. You might also try one of the Mormon Church's stakes libraries. They have a fabulous collection on genealogy and they make it available to members and non-members alike. Phil Turner

John TURNER b. ca 1823 VA. Married Jemima TATE Jan 1845 Wood Co VA (now WV). On 1850 Wood Co census pg 142 with children James, Clarinda, Susanne and Elizabeth. My GG Grandfather Jonas is in the 1850 census of Johnson County, Missouri along with his wife Lewhettie, and their children Nicholas, James, William McDonald, N.H., Mary Elizabeth, Thomas Benton, Malinda Jane, Cornelius, Jasper, and Serepta Ann. I know from histories left by my G Grandfather, William McDonald, that in 1853, Jonas and his family migrated to Nevada, then on to California the next spring.
