Hi there one and all.
Several weeks earlier I asked if the name of TXANDERS could be put in the
subject line due to the fact that there were lots of viruses out there. I
received back a message telling me I don't understand how viruses come
through the e-mails. That was fine, however, no one has addressed the
situation.
Each of the genealogy lists I belong to have the their name in the subject
line prior to the names/area of the individual one is looking. This is the
only one that doesn't. Any txand
The following is a transcription of an old faded letter my father had in his possession when he died in 1996. It was written by his father C. T. Johnson to my father's sister Mildred, who was a student at Hilman College in Clinton, MS, at the time. It describes a trip he made through East Texas to visit relatives and to preach. I tried to copy it as much like the original as possible. Please forgive the typos. I think he probably used the "hunt & peck" method. My best guesses on the relatives mentioned are

Dear Anderson County Cousins,
I have a map that shows where Strickland Park is located in Palestine, Anderson County. My James is said to be buried at the Park under a tree, but other documentation says he is buried at the Catholic Cemetery next to Strickland Park. Does anyone have a list of people buried at the Catholic Cemetery? Or does anyone have an address for the Catholic Church in Palestine? Also, last but not least, does anyone have any pictures of Strickland Park and or of the Catholic Cemeter
James' last name is Strickland. He died in 1904 in Palestine, Anderson County. His full name is James Samuel Strickland b. 1832 d. 1904. Any help with the Catholic Cemetery listings would be wonderful.
Thank you again,
Sharon Holland

Carol,
It's irrelevant that you don't understand how viruses work. The person you
talked to should have done some explaining. All e-mail viruses I've
encountered (never infected, only encountered) have been via attachments, and
not in the e-mails themselves.
Just because you don't know how viruses work is no reason to resist putting a
TXANDERS label in the Subject line. So, please continue pursuing this
change. It's to everyone's benefit.
If you'd like me to pursue this, as well, please send
