Hi All
I purchased the CD a couple of months ago and I've had a lot of fun
researching it. I'm hoping to find a mention of my Gillespie family that
lived in Beaukiss from about 1910 till 1935. So far I haven't found any
mention of my kin and it is somewhat like searching for a needle in the
haystack. But, as you look over all the articles you begin to get a really
good idea and appreciation of what life must have been for our ancestors at
that time.
I highly recommend getting the CD.

Thanks Lisa,
I found an Oris Price on the marriage or birth records. This man has to be a relation to Robert as the young man's middle name is Oris.
I found an Oris Curley Price who died in Alvin, TX. In the Bastrop records there is a Oris Bowman Price.
Hope someone is related to Oris that can help.

Ann,
I am interested to know if there is any information on the Brice/Bryce Family who are buried at McDade. They lived there several times between 1883 and 1910 ????? J. W. Brice, Born 1847-Died 1917 was a preacher, his wife "Bettie" Elizabeth English, Born 1848-Died 1918, both buried at the McDade Cemetery, and there should be articles about him and his family. (I hope). If so, I would like to buy a copy of the CD. It might help me to find out what happened to some of his children.
Please let me know and

I'm afraid I can't give you information about any individuals. These pages
are not indexed. It's a bit like having a roll of microfilm at home
(although it's easier to read; I hate microfilm!). I'm pretty sure that if
your Brice/Bryce was a minister in McDade in 1910 that he and/or his family
would be mentioned. But I can't be sure.
I just looked through the first few pages of 1910 and didn't see anything,
but I can add a few more community names: Woodalia, Siloam, Beaukiss,
I know Robert E Price b in 1857 and died Dec 15th, 1900. I think I saw that
on your website in the namescan. LL

That's photos from the present. I don't know where 1930 came from sorry.
I'm looking for pictures of folks having fun. Families, kids, colorful,
dances, contests, active photos work the best. Or photos that make people
stop and stare, and say, "Wow, what a (neat, pretty, special) picture!"
This is what I have to go by. Thanks again and sorry about the confusion.

Hi there. Spring is finally showing a little up here and I mean a little. I hear your weather is nice and yes I'm sooo envious. I'm wondering if anyone has any old photos of festivals or family life in McDade, TX. I'm looking for old Watermelon Photos, Families, Stores, Scenery before 1930. I would appreciate any information and if you've seen photos in archives during your research for your own families and have seen McDade, TX please let me know where I could begin to search. These are not for the

If any local researchers have any Price relatives with this name let me know. Also, if you know any Price's please ask them if they know this guy. I've been through the phone book and there is mostly female Price's listed.
It would be pretty hard for him to
