2. Re: [TXBELL] Orthofer [1]
Dear Deeno, You found him. The 1880 census lists him as being from Prussia but I am sure that it is an error and that this is the same person. Thank you guys very much. This means a lot to me and it has been very kind of you to help me. 3. [TXBELL] Another Census Lookup [1]
Dear Listmembers, I am looking for Census information on my great great grandfather John Southwell. I am not sure that he was living in Belton, Texas in 1880 but he sure was soon after that. I know very little about him though he was the father in law of Ed Orthofer. Could someone look him up for me? Thank You. 10. [TXBELL] ebay funeral book [1]
Thought this might be of interest to someone on the list. I just saw an offering on ebay of a "funeral book" from a Belton funeral in 1932. While some parts of the book are missing, apparently some of the sympathy cards and other items are still there. I've sent email to the seller asking whose funeral this was, but thought some of you might want to check it out just in case. Nancy Harwood Houston, TX
11. Re: [TXBELL] Bell County Researcher [1]
Hello Jackie! Faye Dillard is her name. As I explained even though she does not have email or a home phone recorder, you can't go wrong in hiring this researcher. She is absolutely the best I have ever had,she is from the old school and maybe you know what that means? If she has a line and you have to wait...it is worth the wait! Faye Dillard 4101 W. 14. [TXBELL] Cloud family [1]
The Cloud family members profiled in the book are Allen Clark Cloud, Jack Medlin Cloud and Thomas Jefferson Cloud. Thomas Jefferson is the one who owned the Lumber yard. He was born in 1894. He was born in Killeen in 1894. Jack Medlin Cloud is profiled but he wasn't born until 1915. His son Allen Clark Cloud was the son of Jack. The Cloud and Medlin families were both pioneer families of the Killeen area. I am related indirectly to the Medlins. They were prominent in the Nolan Valley area as well.

There is now an updated message concerning the new message boards: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=whatnew&r=rw&p= Among the newer features is that users can now post messages without having to use a login account. (Contact info is provided at time of message posting.) Of course, the disadvantage of doing this is that you cannot globally update the contact info across all messages and boards at a later time. However, the choice is now there if users preferred not to use a login ID. (Personally,

The index on there now does reflect our current material as of Thursday night. Try both and compare the results. Feedback is encourage

Does anyone know the name of the family who owned the gin in Rogers, Texas in 1930? We think the wife of the gin's owner was Lilly (Cloud) Clary, which would mean his name was CLARY / CLAREY.
