My cousin's wife just emailed me wanting info on courthouse research. She
had planned to attend a local seminar and will not be able to be there. As I
finished up the email I thought the links may be of interest to more
researchers, such as yourselves. So here goes...thank goodness for copy and paste :)

Dear CIG members:
Just a reminder that the 18th is getting closer and we all should be working
on our "adopted families" for our next meeting. Don't forget to be prepared
to share how you found some of the info you've found on your "adopted family"!
I've heard from several of you and have been pleased to hear you are finding
things on your "adopted families." (I have too even though I cheated)
Also, remember to bring your new form (filled out) to the next meeting so
that someone can "adopt" your lo
Here is the latest info on the latest virus that is going around. You do not
have to open an attachment to become infected. All you have to do is simply
open the email to read and the damage is done if you don't have good virus
protection installed. I have received several of these from what appears to be
folks I know and trust. When actually they are not from them at all. The bad
folks sending these viruses are "spoofing" the email addresses of good folks
making it look like it comes from them w

the past month. Come and share. Also, we will be trading our ancestors again
this meeting so please remember to bring your forms already filled out. If you
