I am sending this update to the list because for some reason many of you are not getting the email, I think maybe because it is perceived as spam since there are now 87 people on the mailing list for the cemeteries. I will send it in smaller batches, so please excuse me if you end up with several copies in your in box.
Hi everyone,
Good news!
Just wanted to let you know that the Kruegers have offered to take our letters and speak to the City Council on both the old New Braunfels Cemetery and the Comal

Thanks to everyone who has written me off and on the mailing list, it is very gratifying and knowing you aren't alone makes a huge difference. I'm only 45 minutes away from New Braunfels and am happy to be your voice, but the City Council is going to need a LOT more voices before they do anything.
Okay here is the City Council:
Richard Zapata RZapata@nbtexas.org
Mark Goodner MGoodner@nbtexas.org
Gale Pospisil GPospisil@nbtexas.org
Mayor Bruce Boyer Mayor@nbtexas.org
Pat Wiggins PWiggins@nbtexas.or
This is the letter I just wrote to take with me tonight to the New Braunfels
Parks Dept Master Plan meeting:
Suggestions for Master Plan
Include the old New Braunfels Cemetery and the Comal Cemetery in the Master
Plan.
Develop a budget for both cemeteries to allow for immediate improvements,
placement of simple, flat markers at all of the graves missing markers that
can be identified, and continuing maintenance.
Establish a Cemetery Commission similar to the one in the City of San Marcos

About 100 people attended tonight's meeting and public forum to discuss the
Master Plan, given by the Parks Department. The Parks Department had a very
nice presentation planned for the group to respond to with questionnaires to
answer, but they must not know Germans very well, because those little
German ladies were there to tell the Parks Department what to do. About
four groups were represented, a lot of people from the Garden club concerned
about the arboretum in need of water and the condition
There will be about 75 cemeteries by the time I finish at
http://www.picturetrail.com/texas_cemeteries , with more added as I wander.
The Introduction album explains what it is and isn't. Read the "Are you a New Braunfels Descendant?" album if you are a New Braunfels descendant or think you might be.
Be sure and check www.texasescapes.com for info on those little towns your ancestors lived near, the website is growing by leaps and bounds.

All the letters to the Council that list their German surnames are quite
impressive so I decided to go look at my tree. Many of these are names were
given to me by other people, but they all are connected on one gedcom with
Stephan Klein, my great great great grandfather, at the top.
My family website is at http://emilyklein.tribalpages.com/ and if you
scroll down, all these names are in blue and you can click on them to see
details. If any of you are connected and not on my tree, I would love to a
Just found out about the New Braunfels Master Plan Community Input/Open
House. I called them and they said they would address cemetery questions. If
anyone out there can attend, I will be there and would like to meet you.
Uhmmmm I have short red hair and will be wearing a homemade pin that says
uhmmmmm SAVE OUR CEMETERIES. I'm really not prepared to battle but I will
have some kind of flyer. Sheesh nothing like short notice!

The website gives a full explanation of the issues, and has a place to add your comments.I'm working on Comal Cemetery now.
Click on the album, when it opens up go to the left side to scroll down, there are 24 pictures. You can add your comments to any picture on the website.
Remember the wicked bench in Indianola? Y'all got that removed very quickly with your letters. We can do the same in New Braunfels. My work has ended. It is up to you.
The Cambell County Virginia mailing list is going great guns, posting surnames, then somebody is putting them in Excel. I'll volunteer to do the Excel but you must do it in this format to make it easy to cut and paste:
A maximum of 10 for now, and PLEASE type in your full name and email address or I cannot copy it:
