New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department officials said Monday the
annual Comal and New Braunfels cemeteries clean-up will begin Oct. 22. Each
year, a clean up initiative helps to beautify and keep the cemeteries
grounds safe and serene.
"We wanted to notify the public that the clean up will be occurring next
week from Oct. 22 through the 29th," said Stacey
The New Braunfels Historic Landmark Commission is meeting Tuesday, Oct 23, at 8:30 and the cemetery problems are going to be discussed.
Not sure if that is am or pm!

I don't know but it sounds like any broken tombstones may hit the wayside in
the newspaper article.
If it isn't secured it goes. Good thing the graves were identified that

Hi everyone, I have been working on the Neglected Cemeteries website, that
got started with an idea on the TX-Cemeteries mailing list.

suggestions are all welcome. I started it because there is not a site like
this on the internet that I could find, specifically devoted to bring

Go to the website below, and click on Staff Reports to write a letter to the
reporter. I asked them about Annual versus Semi-Annual.
The sign that I photographed awhile back says:
SEMI ANNUAL MAJOR CLEANUP
All deteriorated, weathered, and unsightly items will be removed to include
artificial and real flowers, vases, containers, flags, and miscellaneous
articles. Persons wishing to remove items that may have sentimental value
must do so prior to March and October.
