Gina - I have done some research in Fayette Cty. around an ancestor of mine, Thomas Simms, who was lost in the Dawson Massacre. Also, research another ancestor, Elijah Pigott Howland and his wife, Evaline Simms Howland, who resided in Fayette Cty. from 1843 on-. I believe that I have come across the name of your ancestors: Person as living in LaGrange around the years of 1850+. They might have been neighbors of my ancestors! My ancestors were John R. Johnson, Company F, Mier Expedition, Harvey A. Adams, Somervelle Expedition and Capt. Chauncey Johnson, captured by Gen Woll during his invasion of San Antonio in 1842.
