county and place of birth or last residence.
This list only has name and place of residen
I am looking for the diary of Benjamin Griffin who served in the 27th Texas
Cav. Regt. Confederate Army from March 7, 1862 until February 1865.
He was captured December 18, 1862 at Oakland, MS, but managed to escape. He
was again captured in April, 1863, near Franklin, Tennessee, remaining in
Northern Prisons until the end of the Civil War. While in Northern Prisons, he
wrote a diary about his life. He is also said to have written some lengthy and
ponderous religious essays. In 1866, Benjamin was appointed

Frank will be back Monday and I intend on calling him to see if I can find
this treasure.
