Today, I believe I found my GGUncle Frank C. Cameron. He left Minnesota
and eventually went to Hidalgo Co. TX. He died in March of 1967 at the age
of 88. He was born in Wadena Minnesota on the 11th of May 1879. Frank is
the son of John J. Cameron and Millie (Lyons) Cameron. John and Millie left
Wadena in 1888 and went to parts unknown. If anybody on the list in Hidalgo
recognizes the names or has access to census information around 1890 I would
really appreciate a lookup.

Nora Sodders McMILLAN was a cousin of my father-in-law. She signed an
affadavit in 1954 to verify his birth. At that time she was 65 years
old and living in Edinburg, Hildago Co., TX. My father-in-law was born
in 1903. The affadavit stated that 'I was staying with my Aunt
Malissie'. Malissie would have been my father-in-law's mother and her
maiden name was ROACH and married name of course was HAMMER. We would
like to contact any of her descendants. We need to fill in some blanks
and need help. Thank y
William Ruffin WEBB died in Hidalgo, TX 10/14/1895 according to the family
Bible. As the family lived in the Collin/Grayson/Dallas Co area, and he
doesn't seem to be buried there, we are looking for his grave and also any
clues that might give us an idea as to what he was doing in Hidalgo Co.. If
there were other WEBB families there, perhaps we was visiting relatives and
we can find a link. He was only 20 and a couple of months when he died. Any

I am going to make a brief trip to Hidalgo Co. mid April (14th - 19th) to seek information about my grandparents. They were James Webb Dain and Mary Dain who moved to Donna from northern NY in in about 1918. My father James Cromwell Dain, born 1904, graduated from San Marcos Prep in about 1924. He had a brother Harrington Webb Dain born in 1900. My grandparents farmed, ran a hotel (I think the Donna Hotel) for a while and my grandfather had a feed and seed store in Edcouch. None of them are buried in Hidal

I'm looking for Dean and Lucinda Martin who family says may have run a
stagecoach in McAllen, Texas. Dean was born about 1838. It would have been
after 1880 that he came to Texas as he is in the Kentucky Census at that
time. They had a son Patrick who is my great grandfather.
Any information and/or suggestions on where to research stagecoach lines is
very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Carolyn

Dear Carolyn,
On a recent trip to Texas we visited the McAllen Museum of History and found much useful information pertaining to our family. They sell in their bookstore a book published by Images of America entitled McAllen Texas. We purchased the Donna book as that is where my family is from. I found many pictures and historical information in that book that I was able to use in doing our genealogy . I think if you google the Mc Allen Museum you too will find answers to your queries. I unfortunately do
