My apologies - as someone pointed out, I didn't specify which St. Patrick I
was looking for. I was looking for this one:
ST. PATRICK / JOHN BELL / DIAMANT / NINI FRAVEGA 1854
(the other one was built in 1930)

Dave

If you want to view the passenger list you should be able to find it on

Stephen,
If South Australia might have been the destination, then Robert Janmaat has
been transcribing the "assisted" passenger lists to South Australia and I
have been putting them up on TheShipsList website. 1850-1852 has been
completed and 1853 is in progress . . 1849 still to come. We will be goin

I have seen the transcribed passenger list for the
Star of the West's Liverpool to New York voyage of
1854, arriving April 3 that year. Now I would like to
find the manifest as there were a James Gash and a
William Glass on board. I suspect they might be the
brothers, William and James Gass, in my line. The
double s in both Scotland and Ireland had an sh
pronunciation in those days, I've found.

Our family arrived in the United States on September 5, 1951, on the General WC Langfitt. Ellis Island was closed at that time. Is there any way to find which port the ship sailed to?
Also, the family was sent to a local hotel for 3 day, until a sponsor sent for us. Is there any way to learn which hotel this may have been?
Thank you for your help.

Hi,
I was wondering if it was possible to find the departure port and/or a ship list for "Duchess of York" arrived Quebec 16/11/1929. I have Pawel, Piotr and Paulina Szpaowska from Poland arriving on this ship.
Thanks,
Janis

My Gg-grandparents came over on it in 1848 from Wales. Might be an

The name of the ship was Helen McGaw [no r]. She has been mentioned

I don't have access to details of voyages in 1848.

Hello List,
I'm a 'newby' to the list so please excuse what may be a silly question.
Seeking information about my grandmother's migration from England to (Fremantle)
Australia. The "only" problem is that I don't know the ship or exact date she travelled. I
fear it isn't possible due to the volume of shipping. However, I'm hoping there wasn't
much shipping on that route in the early 20th Century.
The known facts are:

Merry Christmas all! Looking for help in finding ships carrying passengers from Ireland/Scotland to America prior to 1800.
My YOUNGs arrived in America and settled in Maryland. Not sure of the head of the family and the children may be William, John, Margaret, Gilsey and Elizabeth.
I've searched some ships lists but to no avail and help is graetly appreciated. The answer is probably under my nose, but ...
Sincerely,

My GGGrandfather John Ballantyne lived in Scotland, emigrated
to Canada 1868-9. Earliest photo I have of him taken in Ottawa,

Scotland,
Any help appreciated!
