Hello all from Sunny Queensland
All my maternal grandmothers relatives: Watson / Renoldson/ Wyndham /
Simm and or Simms came from central eastern NBL, until the families
moved to South Shields obviously seeking work in the metal industries.
The Renoldson family came from Shilbottle. Ephraim Renoldson married
Phillis Wyndham of Lesbury (This name was later spent Windham). This
Renoldson family presented a real problem because when they shifted, from
Shillbottle to Lesbury, the name changed to Rennison
I would really appreciate it someone could tell me where my distant cousin is. Hi all,
Can any of you help with any ideas.
My Elizabeth MILLAN died in childbirth in Sunderland in 1886.
Her daughter Margaret my great grandmother was taken to live with a
relative in Scotland and sold to the Duke of Bucchlue a year later when
she was 10 years old.
Her Father Samuel MILLAN and his son/s Samuel MILLAN and ? went together
as he could look after boys but not a daughter. Margaret never saw her
family again.
Samuel is not living at the same address in the 1891 Census.
On the 1881 census is p

Hi everyone,
I've noticed the following name appearing on quite a few of the mailing
lists over the past few days and I would like to ask if anyone is related to
or has any information on a BRIDGET McINTYRE. Although I am not related to
her in any way, I do have a great deal of information on her that may be of
interest to someone else. I am presently writing a book on the local history
of WILLINGTON (Co Durham) and surrounding villages and her name has come up
along with many others I am research. I will

Hi Everyone
I have already written to Peter off list to thank him for his apology. I'm sure his offer of Look-ups will be appreciated by everyone and perhaps now we can all get on with what we're on the list for in the first place. Researching our Family History!!
Also a Thank you to everyone who contacted me with their own comments on the subject.
I must add that I do agree with Peters idea of adding where you are from. It does make things more interesting.
Best Wishes
Kim - in Cardiff.

It's certainly not very clear, but I think it says Newcastle Tyne. No
county is given. The occupation is Engineman.

Is anyone familiar with the name of COTTEE?
I am trying to help out a gentleman who I know, he has just told me that he
was adopted, and his adoptive parents were very loving and kind, so never
felt the need to find his real parents. The information is sketchy due to
his age, but this is what he could tell me today.
His real mam was called Cottee, she was one of a twin, so he did'nt know
which one was his mam.
The twins were called Francis and Lottie, he thinks they had a brother
called George and a sister
Hi Lyle,
>why are these things not handled off line? Is there some ulterior

I could not agree more, I am a member of all 3 North-Eastern lists and this
one has had nothing but sniping at a person on one of the other lists since
it started, and while he does have a rather abrasive manner, I would suggest
he also knows more about genealogy than the rest of this list combined.
This week is the last straw, I am unsubscribing here forthwith

Hi,
I wonder if anyone is in the position to do me a big favour. I need a look
up of a burial in Gateshead's Saltwell cemetery. I have just found out my
gran (Elizabeth HARDY/CARTER nee CARR) was buried here in October 1966. I`m
assuming her 1st husband will be here. He was Christopher George CARTER died
September quarter of 1926 according to G.R.O.
Is anyone able to do me this big favour, I`d be ever so grateful.
Regards.

Hello Maurice,
I noticed your posting re: Thomas Taylor. An Aunt of mine has been
researching my maternal line for many years (I am focusing on my
paternal)and has sent me odd bits of information. I remembered that my
g.grandmother was a Taylor, I believe from Durham. The info I have is as
follows: Thomas Taylor & Hannah Moore (1844-)
Thomas W. Taylor (?1863-)
Albert E. Taylor (1865)
Ann M. Taylor (1867-)
William C. Taylor (1869-)

Hello List
Anderson is a very common name and I am having great difficulty establishing my origins.
My grandmother, who was a very astute lady and the family historian, always claimed that her grandmother Catharine Anderson was related to Sir James Anderson, the master of the Great Eastern, who he laid the North Atlantic cable. Now this creates a problem for me, as Sir James came from Dumfries Scotland. Meanwhile Catharine was born in Belford NBL. So far, I have not been able to identify her parents, and

that. NO ONE on here should be worry or frightened about the messages they
post. I don't know if you have noticed but one of my taglines says "Remember
