Hi List, I am a new subscriber living in Australia and would like to add the
list of names that I am interested in. I don't know much about searching
and would love to find as much as possible about my ancestors.
This is what I have found out to the present.
Would love to fill in the gaps, such as who gg-grandfather married, how many
children etc., down the lineage.
Hope I have sent this ok and it is not too long.
Doreen Donaldson
(maternal side of family is Taylor).

Hello, All,
Is there some kind person with access to the 1891 CENSUS for Kingston-upon-Hull who could help me to find brothers Alexander and James Jamieson?
Other family members would be Elizabeth Jamieson, wife of Alex. and, perhaps, children.
Alexander was born in 1834, James in 1839; all three named here were born in SCOTLAND.
Alex and James were "engineers" by trade.
Two possible "leads" are: 1881 Census for Hull: they were living at 95 Constable Street

Hello Tony,
I am also looking for Robert Jackson, my gg grandfather, difficult isn't it?
There are 239
Robert JACKSONs on the 1881 census for the Northern borders. Only info I
have on him
is: His fathers name was William, he married Margaret Ridley in Sunderland
1840-of full age?, had a son,
Edward, in Merrington in 1849 and died before Edwards wedding in 1882. Not
much is it?
The reason I reply to you is, I doubt very much if Edward was the 1st child,
9 years after the wedding.
It is a very strong traditi

Is there some friendly person who would look up the 1841 and/or 1851
census for Sunderland for a family of PILE. I have three PILE brothers
- WILLIAM 1823-1873,
John PILE (possibly younger) Thomas PILE 1840 - 1922 (migrated to NZ
1876) I realise that this request may not be popular as I have no street
address. Any other suggestions for finding these people would be most
gratefully accepted.
Patricia Taylor.
Hello,
Is there any person who could expand a little on this address, either in relation to about 1894 or,
today: QUEEN'S DOCK, NORTH SIDE, HULL
Where might I go to find recorods of firms functioning in this area? Specifically, my relative was
in partnership in a consulting engineering capacity.
Any ideas and help would be much appreciated.
Yours,

Hello everyone,
This message is to all of you who I promised a lookup tonight on the 1871
Stockton census. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go tonight. The FHC
will be closing in just two hours, and my husband is not yet back from work.
That will not give me enough time to look through the entire census. The
next time they are open is Saturday, from 9-4. I plan on spending most of
the day there! I have copied everyone's information, and will let Lynn,
Carole, Patricia, Mike, & George know wh

Tom,
You meant like the above for "subject." I have been made timid about
revealing my ROBSON search as it is a bit like asking for Smith! But I
see you are a brave ROBSON yourself and will sympathise with the
enormity of sorting through all the ROBSON families in the NE. This was
my mother's maiden name and I am having a blankety-blank time sorting it
out!

Hi everyone,
Firstly I would like to thank everyone for the quick and speedy response to
my posting yesterday concerning the lost of the data from my computer. I
have now been able to find an old back up copy dating back to the beginning
of April so it's not as bad as I first thought. I did get quite a lot of
copies of the welcome letter I asked for and of which is very much
appreciated. I will try and write to everyone individually over the next few
days. Now if anyone has a copy of the Sitering invitatio

Mangle room is where the washing was wrung through the mangle to remove
excess water.
That the inquest took place in a pub is not impossible. In Birstall, WRY,
the Circuit Court in the early 19th century was held upstairs in the Black
Bull Inn behind St. Pater's Church. The original dock and magistrate's chair
are still there, and are now decorated with the necessary accoutrements for
the local DJ to hang his speakers and lights
Hi
I am posting some of my interests for Northumberland. My main interests are
trying to link Joseph DAGLISH (b. 1796) with Eleanor HORN in the Gateshead area,
and tracing any living descendants of Charles EASTHOPE whose daughter Jane
(b.1836) married Nicholas DAGLISH in 1862. They both lived in Newcastle at the
time. When widowed, Jane married James COLE (b.Somerset) in Newcastle. They later
went to live in Blyth. Her son Reuben DAGLISH (my grandfather)- living in
Blyth - married Jane YOUNG (b.1869 in Bedl

I am searching for James Aungiers/Annjiers born in Middleton Tyas Yorks in

children alive at that time.
In 1865 James was an Inn keeper in Escomb and he died on April 19 1871 of
Typhus fever. His address at that time was 2 Thompson Street, Witton Park,
so I assume he was there on census night?
I would appreciate any hel

Don't buy Ultimate Family Tree. They are not making it any more and the
technical support is very difficult to get. It cost me almost $30.00 (US) by
telephone to find out how to print.
The booklet was not at all clear (to me. ) I sent them a letter over a month
