We will try, but we need a bit more information. Tell us
what you know about her. Around when was she born? Her parents'
names? Was she associated with a particular town in Chernigov
guberniya? Did she marry his grandfather in Russia or after
emigrating? Any idea roughly when she emigrated, or where she went
after leaving Russia? Or perhaps she never left Russia.

Hello Genners,
Here is an interesting site about using copyright materials. Found
it very interesting.

As your Chernigov Research Group administrator, I'd like to thank you all
for your distribution contributions. This email will be repetitive, for

Hi Mark: I'm Andrew Bushkin, responsible for the list of towns on the
Chernigov web site. I've considered your note and here's what I've found:
There is a town called Lubin, at coordinates 50.02 N, 33.0 E, according to a
list of Ukrainian towns I maintain. The list also shows a town of Lyubin at
46.95N, 31.15E. Are you going from written or verbal names? Lyubech is a
larger town in the Chernigov area. If you could send me a picture of what
you are reading from, I could check on other possibilit
Hi Hal, Welcome to the the Chernigov group. Our family is Chernoff,
we believe from Konotop also in the Chernigov gubernia. My cousins
and I are currently researching our family that settled in PA. When
was your GGGGrandfather born and did he immigrate to the US., and
where did they settle? What was your grandmother's name. There are
some interesting Cherniakov's on Ancestry and also on Google. Any
family members there?
Good luck,
Leah

Tom,
Thank you for the links to Yad Vashem. When I attempt to click on Shoah

Dear fellow researchers,
Thank you all for your patience and replies. My e-mails to the group
were being rejected by rootsweb and it took a while (months and months!)
for the web master to find the reason why.
The problem was finally pinpointed and corrected, but only via a
hit-or-miss series of outgoing server manipulations. Hence, all those
e-mails.
Best regards,
