I am researching the family of John & Betsy Herron who were living in
Hope Twp at the time of the 1851 census. Two sons were living with them
- William (born abt 1827) and James (born abt 1831). Their presumed
son, John Herron (1821-1901) was living next door in Hope Twp. in 1851
with his wife, Elizabeth Mitchell (abt 1826-1875) and her presumed
brother, Archibald Mitchell. All were born in Ireland. Archibald

Dear Jim
DUE is Daughter of United Empire (Loyalist). If your female
ancestor had this with her name then her father was a
Loyalist and both (she and her father) were entitled to land
grants. That means you should be able to find their land
petitions.

Dear Listers,
I don't know if I am subscribed to the right list or not.
I am looking for my McEnerny family between the years of 1850 and 1867. The
only clue that I have is the notation on the death record of Catherine
McEnerny that she was born on October 2, 1856, near Ottawa.
Her parents were: John McEnerny and Mary McMahon (b. 1815) both were born and
married in Ireland. There is also a son Michael b. 1847 in Ireland.
Could someone help me with this? I live not only in the US but all the way

Brock who lived in Montreal or Ontario c. 1841. They

Her first husband was Amasa McINTIRE & they were married in 1802 in Leeds county Ontario. They had 3 daughters Hannah, Martha & Armenia McINTIRE. Apparently Amasa died before 1808 because she married Ezekiel ROSE in 1808 also in Ontario. They had 6 children, John Henry, Omar, Althea, Alvin Benson, Maratha & Laura Vanseetheart ROSE

Hi everyone
I've been having some fun (my version of R&R!) looking up
Michigan records for some of my ancestors. While I was at it
I kept anything that mentioned those folks born in Canada
(which often meant Ontario)
If anyone has lost the following individuals, perhaps these will
be of help. Please let me know if you find any of these useful!
Please note that I have NO further info on any of the following
individuals *EXCEPT* Ebenezer Westbrook
WESTBROOK, EBENEZER

Dear RDJGN
As I pointed out to you in my private email, sent earlier,
Montreal is not in Upper Canada, it is in Lower Canada (now
Quebec)
I directed you to a page of Quebec resources and suggested
you check them out. Here is the URL again
