Thank you Lorine for your advice, which was very welcome. However we have already taken a look at the 1871 Percy Twp. census. Indeed that is what prompts us to believe that Henry & Eliza Brickman were Lucinda's Parents. We did, as you indicated we might, find a 10 yr. old Cynthia in the family. Unfortunately the marriage registration for Lucinda and Willam did not indicate who her parents were, and we are not 100% certain our assumption is correct. We hope that the query will result in some solid facts.

Hello all!
There is a wonderful article in this months Legion Magazine (Royal Canadian
Legion) respecting veteran immigrants to Upper Canada circa 1832 that I
would love to share with you all. What kind of ships brought them here, why
no marriage certificates, etc.
You may find it at
www.legionmagazine.com
more specifically at

I also have a paper copy of the magazine, as I am a member of our local

Hello Everyone,
I found so many great databases online for records of
Mennonites on ships arriving at Canadian ports (Halifax, St.
John and Quebec) with passengers heading on to Western
Provinces of Canada or to dozens of USA states, that I had to
create a page for all this material.
This new page is found at
http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ships/menntocan.shtml
I also started looking for names of Mennonites in the 1871
census for Ontario, and links to the results are at the URL
above.

Hi Everyone,
My Ontario, Canada Section of Olive Tree has had a major
update.
I've added hundreds of new links to online records of births,
baptisms, marriages, burials and deaths. I also added
information on how to obtain birth, marriage and death certs in
Ontario, and a link to an online form for sending for certs.
The massive link additions forced me to create new pages so
that you would not have to scroll through screen after screen
to find what you need for those brick-wall Canadian ancestor
