My husband's name of Updegrove. It is a Dutch name. He was able to trace his family to the Pilgrims at Plymouth Rock. 3 or 4 brothers came together. Some took varying forms of the name Von de graff Updegraff, etc. We were informed of several cemetery stones in Pennsylvania.
Greetings from Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

Johns wife's name was Margaret and when John died she remarried to Jack Swain. The children all took the name Swain, but it was never a legal adoption, so I can not trace him that way.
