Hello,
Most ports are indexed and on microfilm for the time period
you want (NY is the exception. It is indexed *only* on
Ancestry.com)
Once you know your ancestor's state of entry, you can
search microfilms. You can order films in to a nearby
Family History Centre, or have NARA do the job (once you

Hi,
I am searching for the ship/passenger list for Eva KRAMMER/KRAMER, that emigrated from Bohemia Austria in 1887 (according to the 1900 census).
Eva may have come with her parents, Wenzeslaus Krammer and Anna Bolter. Eva settled in Boyd, Chippewa Co., WI.
Eva Kramer was born 18 Jul 1866 in Moshals, Bohemia, Austria.
Any help on this is appreciated.

View and search Historical Newspapers. Read about your ancestors, find
marriage announcements
On Ancestry I found the film and roll number for an arrival I'm interested in. I can't seem to find the film in the FHC library. Do I need to go to NARA to view this?

Four of the six children of the Lvloff family from Mecklenberg Germany
came to the US in the 1860s. One sister and one brother remained in
Germany - the brother was killed while serving in the army.
The daughter, Louise LVLOFF DETERDING, born 1855, attempted to come to
the US with her two sons (Carl born 1874 and Emil born 1877) but were
turned away.
Louise remarried (WILKEN) and died June 18, 1926 in Hamburg-Altona.
With those admittedly vague "family legend facts" does anyone have
suggestions as to how
I am searching for information on my great great grandparents, who emigrated here from Germany. I don't have dates on when they came here, but think they could have landed at Baltimore. Their names are John/Johann Block and his wife Fredrica. They are from the Prussia area of Germany. This couple had children named Herman, Charles, Fred , and Maria. Herman came to the US in 1882.
John/Johann and Fredrica could have lived at Joliet IL before moving on to Lac Qui Parle co MN, where they are buried. Th
