Subject: The Ship "Time"
Hello,
I just recently received information that my gggrandfather, Henriech Pvhler, came to America on the ship "Time". It arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 4th, 1848. Traveling with him was his wife to be Maria Tiemann. I am looking for a picture and or information on this ship. It supposedly departed from Nassau, Bahamas, and I would like to

I have an ancestor who arrived in US from England in 1852 that is not
listed as a passenger. This was probably correct since he and his wife
snuck on the ship until it was too far out to turn around. Instead of
searching lists by name (which I have done) I would like to find out the
names of the ships that left Eng for US Feb 11 1852 (the day he deserted
the military) and March 30 1852. I would like to look at the manifests
to see if he is listed in some way. Any suggestions?
I have been trying to track down records for ships arriving in New York City

Looking for: Desideri, Innocenti, Lupori, Lenzi, Priban, Preban,
Janecek, and Antos.
Looking for information on the ship "Florence Chipman" any information,
pictures etc. I know that it departed 12 Feb 1868 London to Rio De Janeiro
and arrived 22 April 1868. Would really like to get a departure passenger
list and any other information my GGM and family were on board and had a
son who was born and died on board.

Check with the Louisiana papers, records, arrival of ships. My g-g-g-grandfather came over from Havre but the ship went straight to New Orleans. I'm also trying to find out how they traveled from New Orleans to Belleville.
Good luck

I am looking for any information on the following individuals who departed from Germany; most were of German descent, but two could have been originally from Poland (probably not on the list then?). they are as follows: Heinrich (Henry) Grunert, Charlotte Grunert (maiden name unknown--could have traveled under maiden name), both would have been here before 1853, Heinrich birth day 7-22-1826, in Saxe Weimer, Charlotte born about 1828 in Saxony. Ferdinand Knop, born 4-30-1857 from Germany (maybe Prussia?).

My GGP's came here on the Bremen Bark Olbers. Can someone direct me
to an image of a bark from that era. I have gathered this information
on barks - a bark (or barque) was a vessel also with 3 masts, the

(mizzenmist) rigged fore-and-aft. That is of no help to my landlocked

My g-grandfather came from Bremen, arriving in New York 3 May 1867. However, he then went on to New Orleans before coming up the Mississippi to Illinois. My problem is finding out how passengers went on to New Orleans, was it the same ship, did they disembark in New York and get on a new ship? I cannot find anything in New Orleans passenger lists with his name, only in New York. Any suggestions? Any websites where I can look that gives stories of the trip from NY to New Orleans?
