This is the best that ever happened and way long overdue.
Isaiah, the NC already made report on it through Board-L, USGenWeb-Discuss
and USGenweb-ALL(announce only).
Once fine tuned with the membership only address list, it will be quite
smooth sailing.
There were two items in the newsletter that got my attention and
interesting to know (written by Jana Black and John Schuck)

I like the idea of the newsletter Jan. Aside from the information that can
be communicated, it also serves to "bring together" our rather loosly knit
and quite vast group of people. It reminds us that we are part of something
larger. Taking a lesson from corporate America, most corporations, many who

I like the idea of a newsletter. Maybe a little more substance in the

You have by now, all received a copy of this newsletter, which I do believe
is an excellent tool for the USGW. I would like to know your opinion, on
whether you would like to see this continue to be distributed thru email.
I'm a bit torn on my opinion, and not having heard from anyone, I'm hoping
that you can tell me what you think before I vote on this issue.
Thanks, and private email is fine!

Hi Jan
I too think this is an excellent tool for USGenWeb.
I don't mind getting an emailed newsletter as I also get the Rootsweb Review
through email. I am glad there is a way for folks to opt out of receiving it, &
one can always opt back in if they wish.

Forwarding on an email from the National Coordinator, for those of you who
haven't seen it on other lists.
And thanks for all the feedback, which is very positive. I'm sure the NC
and the featured writers would be very pleased with your responses.
