Judy, I ran across your e-mail about the cemetries of Hampton Co. and wonderded if the book you talked about is available for sale and what years does it cover. I can trace my Sands family back to Elizabeth City County in 1776 but cannot get any further back. Would like to know if any of his descendants stayed there and are buried there. Thanks for anything you can do for me.

Thanks for the reply Judy. I don't know of any cemetaries tht any of my ancestors are buried in that area but if the book has an index and she can find anyone with the Sands surname I sure would appreciate anything she can give. Will wait for her mail and see what she has to say about the book. Thnaks.

The National Preservation Institute, a nonprofit organization founded in
1980, educates those involved in the management, preservation, and
stewardship of our cultural heritage. NPI has a Cemetery Preservation
seminar scheduled for September 13-14, 2004 in Washington, DC. We would very
much appreciate any help you might give us in letting people who might
benefit from these seminars know about them.
