I am seraching for the parents of Michael R. Isham born 4 July 1793 in
VA to James Isom and Mary Ison said to be of Amherst CO,VA.
Michael married Priscilla Wickersham in 31 OCt 1838 in Mercer Co, KY. But
there is no record of the parents where.

Walter WILLIAMS married Mourning MITCHELL both born about 1790 in Amherst
Co. Va. they were married 16th.of December 1811.
They had a son Nicholas/Nicklas Williams, and possibly other children.
Her Father suposedly was Archibald MITCHELL, Mother unknown.
Family Lore has it her Mother was Native American.

Hi! This is my first query to this list.
I've just began to try to find the parents of my 3rd great grandfather,
Thomas WALKER. He was born March 10, 1787 in Virginia and married
Saluda Bailey, October 21, 1811 in Amherst Co. I believe Thomas was
also born in Amherst, but don't have any proof to back it up.
Between 1818 and 1821, he moved to Smith County, TN and later to
Muhlenberg Co., KY. He and Saluda are buried in the Reynolds cemetery
there. He had no sons to my knowledge. Any that may have be

You should both consult the Rucker Family Genealogy by Sudie Rucker Wood.
She did a lot of work on both of these famalies. The Martin D. Parks
mentioned by another subscriber was the grandson of Martin Dawson. Martin
Parks mother was a daughter of Martin Dawson and the Dawson family is well
represented in this book.
The Penn family is also well documented in the Rucker book, however I found
in the Jones Memorial Library in Lybg. a book on the Fitzpatrick F
