1. Re: [VABATH] Wallace Grove McCoy Obit [1]
He is difficult to find in the census records for some reason. The only one I could find him in was the 1900 census, living in Millboro, Bath County, with his parents, Andrew J. and Virginia. The last name is indexed as McCloy, which is why it is hard to find. Andrew J. was born Sept. 1856, Virginia A. was born Nov., 1858, and Wallace G. was born Dec. 1885. His siblings include Elizabeth H. (July 1880), Stelia (March, 1882), Berlin P. (Feb. 1884), and unnamed (Sept. 1888). Bob/Deirdre Bragg

Thanks that is what I find for him also. gosh, it is amazing how someone signs up for the draft and works for a company for as long as he has and then just drops off the "Bath radar" guess I just have to keep digging - thanks for your help - Deirdre He is difficult to find in the census records for some reason. Deirde, You can contact the Alleghany County Genealogical Society, 1011 North Rockbridge Ave, Covington, Va. 24426. Ask them to look up the name in the records they have from the funeral homes. They have records from Bath county as well as Alleghany, this way you can find his death records. They also have the cemetery records for the burials that have tombstones. They spent quite a while checking each and recording the information. Good Luck Va. in Va. ************************************** Se

17. [VABATH] Trimble Family [1]
I'm hoping to find out more about a James Trimble, born in Ireland or Scotland about 1760, who was captured by Indians while fighting (on the American side) in Kentucky--probably during the late 1770s. He is easily confused with some of the more well-known Trimbles, including some from Bath County I believe, who were also in Kentucky about then. His daughter Mary Trimble married John William Cowden in 1802, and this is my line. If anyone else is researching this particular Trimble family I would like to

Certs are generally more complete later than earlier, so 1906 is good. Statewide registration started in 1917, so a 1906 ce
